A message from Ryan
Thank you for taking time to view my website! I started this campaign early for many reasons. No, I am not even eligible to vote, let alone run for President, but if someone is allowed to register to vote if they turn 18 on or before voting day, why wouldn't someone be allowed to declare candidacy for President while still ineligible to do so? This campaign is about making a statement, than anyone can make a difference, anyone can make a change. We do not know what the future holds, but in 24 years, I can tell you that I, Ryan Abshagen, promise you, as Citizens of the United States of America, that I will serve this country well. 24 years sounds like a long time. That’s 6 more presidential elections. But on the 7th one, my name will be on the ballot. Why start campaigning this early? Does it give me an unfair advantage to my opponents of the future? No I don't think so. I started the Campaign this early to get the word out. The word that anyone can do this, even a scrawny 17 year old from Buffalo, NY. This campaign is about how young people, who can't vote yet, who can't run for public office, can still make a difference in the lives of people and the world around them. Teens are very interested in the future of their country, and need to know there are ways to become involved in their communities now. My thought is that responsible, concerned adolescents will become responsible, concerned adults. No, this is not a joke. I am serious. So keep me in mind for President in 2032.
