Statement from Presidential contender in 2032 and founder of NAYPIP Ryan Abshagen on Iran
The world is watching. The Iranian government must cease the violence that it is inflicting on its citizens at once and reach a calm and diplomatic compromise on how to handle the current situation without harming its citizens. From Article 1 of the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.” Iran must respect the universal human rights of its citizens. They must stop the intimidation and respect the ideals of the opposition.
The international community must bond together in unity and act against the violent dictatorship that has corrupted not only the election, but the country as a whole. Martin Luther King Jr. once said “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” If this continues in Iran, what will follow? The world will continue watching, and God willing, start acting.
